Its bright f/1.7 maximum aperture excels in low-light conditions and offers greater control over focus for shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques. The lens features a manual aperture ring for intuitive control over aperture selection.
The internal focusing system, paired with a stepping AF motor, ensures fast, quiet, and smooth performance. Its optical design includes three aspherical elements to reduce distortion and spherical aberration, resulting in sharper images with greater clarity. A Nano Surface Coating on the lens elements minimizes lens flare and ghosting, ensuring contrast-rich, color-neutral photos and videos.
