Designed for high mobility, this successor to the PXW-Z190 features a 1"-type Exmor RS CMOS sensor, delivering up to UHD 4K resolution. With AI-assisted autofocus and auto-framing, a variable electronic ND filter, BIONZ XR processing, and color matching with Sony Cinema Line cameras, this compact camcorder is packed with professional features. It offers a 20x optical zoom and built-in dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, plus Ethernet for direct streaming via RTMP/RTMPS, SRT protocols, and FTP. The Sony Monitor & Control app allows you to view your footage on a smartphone or tablet. A firmware update scheduled for summer 2025 will introduce broadcast-friendly MXF wrapping.

The Auto Framing function automatically detects human forms and adjusts the frame to keep your subject centered, making it a valuable tool for solo shooters. It emulates manual framing while allowing you to focus on engaging with your subject.

Flexible Frame Rates
Record in UHD 4K60 or high frame rates up to UHD 4K120 and 1080p HD at 240 fps. Capture slow-motion footage with 4x at 4K30 and 5x at 4K24p, while the high-speed autofocus ensures your subject remains sharp.

Broadcast and Film Looks
Choose from presets like S-Cinetone, ITU709, 709tone, HLG Live, HLG Mild, and HLG Natural, with further adjustments available for black, matrix, and more. The PXW-Z200's content can be color-matched with footage from other Sony broadcast and Cinema Line cameras.

12G-SDI Connectivity
This camcorder includes up to 12G-SDI input/output, timecode input/output, genlock, USB-A, USB-C, LAN, REMOTE, and other connectors, offering versatile connectivity options.

Full Auto Mode
When the situation demands, switch to fully automatic mode with a single toggle. Auto settings include ND, Iris, Gain, Shutter, and White Balance modes.

Built-In Variable ND Filter
The PXW-Z200 features a variable ND filter with a wide 1/4 to 1/128 ND range. Adjust exposure smoothly with a simple twist of a dial.

Effortless File Transfers
Upload proxy and original clips directly from a memory card to the cloud or an FTP server. Files can be automatically transferred after each recording, and proxy clips can be recorded in segments and transferred sequentially during shooting. The optional, paid Creator's Cloud for Enterprise C3 Portal app simplifies cloud transfers, making video files quickly available for editing and sharing.

Live Streaming
Stream directly from the camera using Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet connection, with support for RTMP/RTMPS and SRT protocols.

OLED Viewfinder and 3.5" LCD
The PXW-Z200 is equipped with an OLED viewfinder and a 3.5" articulated LCD for monitoring. The high-contrast OLED EVF offers a clear 2.36MP view, blocking out ambient light, while the LCD can be adjusted for optimal viewing and includes a sun hood.

Recording Options
Select the ideal recording option for each project. Choose XAVC S-I for top-tier, post-production-friendly 10-bit 4:2:2 4K (QFHD) recording using Intra-Frame H.264. XAVC HS-L (H.265) and XAVC S-L (H.264) offer 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 with Long GOP recording for extended recording times and efficient file management. XAVC HS supports recording smaller proxy files (up to 16 Mb/s) for previewing and editing. Broadcast-friendly MXF wrapping will be introduced with a firmware update in summer 2025.

Dual Memory Card Slots
The PXW-Z200 includes two memory card slots compatible with both CFexpress Type A and SD cards.

Wireless Remote Control and Monitoring
Utilize the built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with the Monitor & Control app to check framing, monitor your footage, and adjust camera settings.

4-Channel Audio
Use the MI (multi-interface) shoe and XLR connectors to record up to four channels of audio. Easily adjust levels for two channels with the dedicated audio dials without navigating through menu options.

Like other Sony cameras, the PXW-Z200 camcorder is compatible with BP-U35, BP-U70, or BP-U100 battery packs, allowing you to use your existing battery supply.
