Product Description

The Sony Alpha a7 IV Mirrorless Camera Body sets a new baseline for hybrid content creation, delivering professional-grade performance for both high-resolution photography and cinematic filmmaking. Built around a newly developed 33-megapixel full-frame Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor paired with the powerful BIONZ XR processing engine, this body produces crisp image detail, exceptional low-light clarity, and an impressive 15+ stops of dynamic range. Whether capturing fast action or subtle studio lighting, the camera operates with impressive speed, offering continuous burst shooting at up to 10 frames per second.

Driven by flagship-level artificial intelligence, the camera features an advanced 759-point phase-detection autofocus system with Real-time Eye AF and Real-time Tracking. It precisely locks onto human, animal, and bird eyes for both stills and video, ensuring target subjects remain sharp throughout the frame. For motion picture creation, the a7 IV records rich 4K video at up to 60p with 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling, S-Cinetone profile support, and active-mode 5-axis optical in-body image stabilization to smooth out handheld footage.

Engineered for seamless everyday workflows, the body features a versatile side-opening vari-angle touchscreen LCD, a high-density 3.68 million-dot electronic viewfinder, and dual card slots supporting high-speed CFexpress Type A and UHS-II SD media. Enhanced heat dissipation structures allow for extended video recording sessions, while built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and direct USB-C live streaming turn the camera into an instant broadcast tool. Designed to accept the full range of Sony E-mount lenses, the a7 IV body provides an adaptable foundation for photographers and videographers ready to elevate their craft.
