24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS Sensor & BIONZ X Processor
The 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor delivers detailed, high-resolution images with minimal noise, even in low-light conditions, thanks to its wide ISO range of 100-32000 (expandable to 102400). Engineered with enhanced copper wiring and advanced circuitry, this sensor boosts light-gathering efficiency, reduces noise, and accelerates readout speeds, making it ideal for both photography and videography.
Paired with the BIONZ X image processor, the a6400 achieves high-speed performance with continuous shooting up to 11 fps (with AF/AE tracking) or 8 fps in silent mode. Additionally, 14-bit RAW output ensures a broad tonal and color range, perfect for post-processing.
UHD 4K Video Recording in XAVC S Format
Capture ultra-detailed 4K video at up to 30 fps, utilizing the full width of the sensor with 8-bit 4:2:0 color sampling and the 100Mbps XAVC S codec. By oversampling from 6K resolution, footage gains remarkable clarity with reduced moiré and aliasing.
