Utilizing six "F" Low Dispersion (FLD), two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, and five aspherical elements, this lens significantly reduces chromatic aberrations and color fringing across its zoom range, ensuring enhanced clarity and color accuracy. Moreover, improved control over sagittal coma flare ensures consistently high resolution throughout the entire frame.

Beyond exceptional optical performance, the use of five aspherical elements also contributes to the lens' compact design, thanks to their slim, highly polarized construction. Combined with a bright f/2.8 aperture and rounded 11-blade diaphragm, this lens produces stunning bokeh effects.

Additionally, super multilayer and nano porous coatings have been applied to minimize lens flare and ghosting, resulting in imagery with rich contrast and accurate colors, even in challenging backlit conditions. Equipped with a high-response linear actuator (HLA), the autofocus system delivers focusing speeds more than three times faster than its predecessor.
