Engineered for full-frame mirrorless cameras, it covers a highly versatile focal range that spans wide-angle landscapes to classic portrait distances. With an advanced optical layout featuring 19 elements in 15 groups—including 6 FLD, 2 SLD, and 5 aspherical elements—this lens minimizes aberrations and provides high contrast and resolution from edge to edge. The constant fast f/2.8 maximum aperture ensures outstanding low-light handling and enables beautifully smooth background blur via its 11-blade rounded diaphragm.

Autofocus performance receives a massive speed boost thanks to Sigma's High-response Linear Actuator (HLA) focus motor. Delivering focus speeds up to three times faster than its predecessor, it locks onto fast-moving subjects with extreme accuracy and near-silent operation.
