The Ricoh GR IV Monochrome is the first GR camera designed solely for black-and-white photography, making it the “ultimate snap shooter” for those who see the world in light, shadow, and tone. This special edition features a dedicated 25.7MP monochrome sensor that records pure luminance data—without a color filter array—for unmatched sharpness, tonal depth, and natural grain.

Beyond the sensor, the GR IV Monochrome introduces a built-in red contrast filter that replaces the ND filter from the standard GR IV. It also includes new monochrome-specific Image Control modes and a redesigned matte black body with a refined, all-black aesthetic. Otherwise, it retains the GR series’ hallmark traits: a 28mm-equivalent f/2.8 lens, fast AF, enhanced 5-axis Shake Reduction, and wireless control through the GR WORLD app.
