A refined evolution of the GR IIIx, the Ricoh GR IIIx HDF introduces a built-in Highlight Diffusion Filter (HDF) that produces softly diffused highlights, lending photos a dreamy, cinematic look. While the HDF replaces the standard model’s ND filter, all other core features remain—such as the 40mm-equivalent lens, 24.2MP APS-C sensor, Hybrid AF, Shake Reduction, and the pocket-sized body that makes the GR series a favorite for everyday and street photography.

HDF Highlights

• The built-in HDF softens highlights for an ethereal, nostalgic rendering.

• Easily toggle the effect on or off using the rear Fn button, which is labeled for HDF and can be reassigned if desired.

• A silver-colored shutter button distinguishes the HDF version from standard GR III-series models.

New 40mm-Equivalent GR Lens

• Features a 26.1mm f/2.8 prime lens (40mm full-frame equivalent), offering a tighter field of view than the GR III’s 28mm for more selective compositions and natural subject compression.

• The newly designed optical system employs high refractive index and low-dispersion glass with aspherical elements for sharpness and color accuracy.

• The f/2.8 aperture balances compactness with bright, versatile performance.

• A Macro mode allows close focusing from 4.7" to 9.4", and crop modes simulate 50mm and 71mm fields of view for added framing flexibility.
