Product Description

The 82mm Peter McKinnon Signature Edition II Variable ND Filter (2–5 Stop) from PolarPro is built for lenses with 82mm front threads and delivers a light reduction of 2–5 stops (0.6 to 1.5 ND). This allows you to use wider apertures or slower shutter speeds without overexposure, making it ideal for creative control over depth of field or motion blur. The front filter ring lets you smoothly adjust density, with a numbered stop scale for repeatable settings and a haptic feedback click at each stop—so you can adjust without taking your eyes off the scene. Side knurling ensures a secure grip, and built-in hard stops prevent accidental over-rotation.

Made from quartz glass for outstanding durability, the filter features a 16-layer multi-coating that resists scratches, reduces reflections, and preserves clarity and color accuracy. These coatings also repel water and oil, making cleaning easier in challenging shooting environments.

The optics are housed in a lightweight aluminum alloy frame for long-lasting performance. For protection, the included Defender 360 hybrid cap/case doubles as a lens cap when mounted or as a waterproof, dustproof storage case when paired with the rear cover.
