Product Description
The Peak Design CL-3 Clutch Camera Hand Strap quickly connects to and disconnects from your camera with a dyneema anchor and a tension clip. The strap wraps around your hand and can be easily adjusted with your non-shooting hand for making it tighter when you are walking. Or loosen it when you need better access to your controls while shooting.
An included Arca-type compatible quick release plate attaches to your camera tripod mount, and one of the included anchors can be tied into the plate. Simply slide the Anchor into the Link to attach the strap, and slide it out to detach it. To attach the top of the strap to the top of your camera, a custom-designed tension clip acts as a small carabiner. The strap can be adjusted from 7.1 to 11.4".

Quick and easy to attach, but doesn't feel secure

“I had used a SpiderPro hand strap (1st generation) for years and loved it, but it was a hassle to attach/detach from the camera, so when it finally started to wear out I decided to try this Peak Design hand-strap. I also have a PD Slide Strap, which is a brilliant, flawless design so I had high hopes for their hand strap. It is very easy to attach to the camera, and to remove if you want to get it out of the way. Unfortunately, when installed on my Nikon D750, there is way too much play in the bottom part of the strap, which connects to the camera's tripod mount. As a result, if I were to let go of the camera, this strap would do nothing to keep it from crashing to the ground. Even tightened all the way down to the point where I can't move my hand to reach the camera buttons it still doesn't feel secure. If Peak Design had included an additional strap to go around the wrist (like SpiderPro has) it would have served its purpose, but as it is this product is just a very well made but useless piece of material dangling off my camera. Fortunately Midwest Photo Exchange makes returns easy!”
