The newly enhanced autofocus system combines a stepping motor with a lightweight focusing group for quick, precise, and quiet performance. Its internal focusing design ensures smooth manual focus adjustments and consistent handling.
Fully compatible with the X2D II’s AF-C mode, the lens excels at tracking moving subjects with accuracy.
The built-in leaf shutter provides speeds from 1/4000 sec to 68 minutes and supports flash synchronization at all shutter speeds.

Crafted from premium metal, the lens features dedicated focus and zoom rings plus an assignable control ring for customizing settings like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure compensation, or subject type when paired with the X2D II’s subject detection system.
Elegant design details include engraved “H” logos for tactile precision, a “Hasselblad V” nameplate, and engraved lens markings.
Despite its extended zoom range and faster aperture, the 35–100mm f/2.8–4 is 19% lighter and 10% shorter than the previous 35–75mm f/3.5–4.5 model—measuring just 5.4" long and weighing 2 lb for improved portability without compromise.
