amaran expands its LED monolight lineup with the S-series COB 200x S Bi-Color LED Monolight, retaining the all-in-one design of the original COB 200x while introducing an upgraded LED chipset for enhanced performance. This 200W fixture delivers ample output to light an entire scene with high-quality illumination. It offers a versatile color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K, paired with an ultra-high SSI rating for precise and natural color accuracy. As a point-source light, it produces up to 45,400 lux at 3.3' when used with the included hyper reflector. Built-in lighting effects make it easy to create dynamic visuals, making it a great choice for videographers, photographers, and content creators who need a lightweight, quiet, and powerful lighting solution. Its silent cooling system ensures distraction-free operation, whether you're shooting in a home studio or on location.

Fine-tune your lighting with smooth 0–100% dimming and make quick adjustments directly on the unit using its intuitive LCD interface. For added convenience, wireless control is available via the Sidus Link app, allowing you to manage settings, trigger lighting effects, and control multiple lights from up to 328 feet away. Designed for global use, the fixture includes a 100–240 VAC power supply, and for off-grid setups, it can be powered by two optional V-mount or Gold mount batteries using a separately available 2-bay battery station. A full-size Bowens mount ensures compatibility with a wide range of light modifiers.

The S-series features improved spectral continuity, delivering an ultra-high SSI rating of 90 (Tungsten) and 89 (D56)—a noticeable upgrade over its predecessor. With CRI 95, TLCI 98, CQS 97, and TM-30 scores of Rf 97 and Rg 101, it provides consistently accurate color reproduction, making it ideal for capturing natural skin tones in both video and photography.

High Output with Hyper Reflector
At 5600K, the 200x S outputs up to 6400 lux at 3.3'. When paired with the included hyper reflector, output increases significantly to 45,400 lux, offering flexibility for both soft and high-intensity lighting setups.
