Introducing the new Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 DG DN | Art Lens! This is the world’s first constant F1.8 aperture lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras, available for preorder now for Sony E-Mount and L-Mount. This versatile wide-to-standard zoom lens spans several popular focal length for versatile coverage and image quality comparable to prime lenses!Â
Developed as a full-frame successor to the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM | Art lens, this lens offers the convenience of a zoom lens without compromising on optical performance with 3 aspherical lens elements, 5 SLD glass elements, and aberration suppression. Focusing particularly on aberration suppression, Sigma developed this lens to work specifically against axial chromatic aberration, common in large aperture lenses, achieving little coloration on the focus plane and bokeh.Â
This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 30cm or 11.8 inches throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification of 1:4, achieved at the 45mm focal length.  Sigma’s 28-45mm F1.8 also features internal zoom and HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) autofocus, and minimized focus breathing. This lens is well balanced and suited perfectly for video work, including gimbal setups. Plus, a click/declick and lockable aperture ring suits a variety of personal capture preference and the dust- and splash-resistant design offer protection when shooting stills and video content out in the elements.Â
